Today we remember David Ruffin of The Temptations (Jan 18, 1941 - June 1, 1991). David & The Temptations performed the song "Standing on the Top" - which was written, produced, & featured vocals by Rick James - on their 1982 album, 'Reunion.' Rick would also include "Standing on the Top" on his own album, that same year, "Throwin' Down." Stream "Standing on the Top" on Spotify: http://found.ee/standtop  MORE >>

Stevie was a guest artist on Rick’s album ‘Street Songs’ - with harmonica featured on “Mr. Policeman” - and spoke at Rick’s funeral in 2004. “I love you, Rick, [...] for the fun we had and the songs that you heard of mine where you said, ‘Nah, I don’t think that’s enough, you gotta do something else with that.’” - Stevie Wonder  MORE >>
